Borkenhagen Plumbing & Heating was founded by Herbert H. Borkenhagen Sr. in 1921. Herbert had three sons, and they all became plumbers. Two of them, Herbert H. Jr and Donald, took over the firm in the late 1960’s after Donald achieved his Master Plumbers license, while Robert headed south to Florida where he began his own plumbing business. Donald’s son, Rodney G. Borkenhagen Sr., would follow in the family business and persue his Master Plumbers license. Today he helps Don run the business. His son, Rodney G. Borkenhagen Jr., also joined the family business and works with the company as a Journeyman plumber. Borkenagen Plumbing & Heating has always been a local, family owned and operated business.
